DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol South - Cadbury House

Nice room with a view, but toilet blocked and overflowed onto the floor and we were told this would be sorted out whilst we were at dinner, only to return 2 hours later to find it still not sorted. Then the assistant mopped it up with a towel! We were given a co.plimentary drinks voucher, though, but it was so late by this time that we just wanted to go to sleep. Restaurant was overpriced and was so dim, we had to use a torch to read the menu to order our food. Food was very late and lots of people were.complaining and having a refund, but we didn't follow suit. Food was lovely, though, but took over an hour to arrive. Spa facilities were. good and front of house staff were friendly. Great breakfast.

Great location for Bristol Airport, out of town but close. Well appointed rooms with good breakfast. We didn't use any of the other facilities and we arrived late and left in the morning

The staff are really friendly and the breakfast is very nice. The swimming pool is also good with nice little extras like a swimsuit drying machine and plastic bags. There are many steam rooms and saunas and relaxation room. The decor is nice and modern

The grounds were lovely and the facilities in the gym were excellent. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of variety. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The location was good for local sights and the surrounding countryside was just breathtaking. There were decent restaurants in the area too. It felt luxurious without breaking the bank. We like to try different hotels even if visiting the same area, so it doesn’t get boring, but for this hotel we would definitely stay again and again. We are planning an autumn return for the foliage. The staff were also friendly.

We have stayed at Cadbury House before but this was the best. The whole place has had a maintenance makeover - the rooms, reception, swimming pool, everything was topnotch. Beds are so comfortable, MPW restaurant À la carte menu is extensive and great, bar cocktails wonderful (we had several), and breakfast in the garden roof with conservatory roof rolled back was lovely - oh the 12-year-old used the new pancake machine and managed three different toppings on her choice. Staff were friendly and helpful and remembered us from before!
